Click our live “check availability” button. This will take to our live calendar. Add your dates and it will confirm if your dates are available at either of our properties and you will be taken on to the booking page. You will be prompted to add details of your group including if you are travelling with dogs. You can also add high chair and travel cot if required.

Absolutely. Please let us know at the time of booking (via email reply) if you would like the room made up as a king, so that we can schedule sufficient time to make up the room accordingly

We take full payment at the time of booking. Full refunds are available up to 56 days before travel. After this point, if your plans change please let us know as soon as possible. We are a small independent business and while we cannot absorb late cancellations, we will always do our best to help where we can. T&Cs.

Yes, we allow up to two small or medium sized dogs at any one time. We charge £30 per stay (max two small-medium dogs), which you can add at the booking stage. We have further details in our T&Cs related to pet stays here.

The cottage comfortably accommodates six people. We can in addition add a travel cot for a young child to sleep. However, we do not offer additional space for more than this.

There is a cobbled parking area outside the property, in addition to on street parking. This operates on a first come, first served basis and is shared with neighbouring properties.

There is not an EV charging point at the Pocket Cottage. Charging electric vehicles from standard indoor or outdoor socket is not permitted for safety and insurance reasons.

Yes to all of the above! And we provide shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, hand wash and laundry detergent to lighten you packing and make your stay as smooth as possible.

As the property dates back to 1746, it naturally has a few architectural quirks which some guests may struggle with. Externally, there are steps (with handrail) up to the property. Inside, there is a small winding staircase to the first floor and a small step into the bathroom and the Nook (double bedroom). Please note, both doors open outwards onto the landing.

We have free high-speed internet connection at the cottage. Access details are provided in your check-in details and the welcome pack located at the cottage.

For our guests that book direct, we offer an 11 am check out and 4pm check-in.

Where possible, we will store luggage at the cottage before and after check-in times by prior agreement dependent upon our availability.

You will receive details a couple of days before your arrival via email. If you would prefer to receive these by text, please indicate this to us and ensure you supply an up to date mobile number including international dialling code and that you are contactable via WhatsApp.

We offer refunds in line with our T&Cs. We advise all guests to ensure they have up to date travel insurance in the event that they have to cancel at late notice.

We kindly ask guests prior to leaving to deposit all rubbish in the bins provided, place all used dishes in the dishwasher and return all items to their original place. We do not charge an additional cleaning fee, but rather ask guests to treat our home with respect by following the pre-check out instructions. Every little helps!

We try to ensure our guests have a wonderful stay with us throughout. If for whatever reason you are unhappy with the accommodation, please reach out to us at the earliest opportunity and we will do our utmost to remedy this for you.

We do not allow smoking or vaping inside the property. There is a small enclosed garden to the rear for those who wish to smoke/vape. We kindly ask that you discard distinguished waste in the bin.

We ask that all breakages no matter how large or small are reported to us at the time of occurrence. This ensures that we are able to rectify these as best as possible for our next guests which could be you.

All charges for breakages are discretionary. For owner and guest peace of mind, we take an inventory and time stamped photos of the property prior to every check-in.
